The Hobart and William Smith sailing team will be back in action this weekend, April 4-5, when it travels to Ithaca, New York to compete in the Prosser Trophy. The Herons will also be in New Haven, Connecticut, for the Yale Women's Team Race. Both regattas are set to begin at 10 a.m.
 
The Prosser Trophy serves as the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association Team Race Championship. HWS won the Prosser Trophy twice (2005 and 2006).
 
The MAISA Team Race Championship is hosted by Cornell. HWS will face boats from UPenn, Old Dominion, Navy, St. Mary's College of Maryland, George Washington, Fordham and Georgetown. Juan Carlos LaCerda Jones, James Kopack, Cooper Delbridge, Elijah Goldman, Sam Carson, Jamie McGuffe, Stella Kim and Laura Therien will represent HWS this year.
 
At last year's Prosser Trophy, HWS placed sixth overall in the MAISA Team Race Championship while Navy took first place. Lacerda Jones, Klempen, and Kopack competed as skippers and Kim sailed in the crew at last year's competition.
