KNGS POINT, N.Y.—The Hobart and William Smith Colleges sailing team competed at the Prosser Trophy this weekend. The Prosser Trophy is the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association Team Race Championship. HWS finished eighth.
On Saturday, the teams arrived to a light 4-6 knot northerly breeze. After an hour of racing the breeze completely died with only eight races being contested. The next day, teams competed in a 6-10 knot wind that peaked at 10-16 knots between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Only one full Round Robin was contested with Georgetown claiming the conference championship.

The Colleges will be back in action next weekend, April 15-16 for a pair of regattas. The Colleges will be in Annapolis, Maryland, for the Navy Spring open. William Smith sailors will head to Ithaca, New York, for the MAISA Women's Team Race Championship.
