MARSHFIELD, Mass.—William Smith senior goalie Erin Murray was named the New England Hockey Conference's Women's Goaltender of the Week this afternoon.
 
Murray guided the Herons to a 1-1-0 weekend against Southern Maine. She stopped 42 of the 44 shots she faced. On Saturday, Murray made 17 saves as she picked up her second shutout of the season.  Murray is 2-3-0 this season with a 1.20 GAA and a .950 save percentage.
 
On Friday, the Huskies escaped with a 2-1 win in overtime. The next day, William Smith won 2-0.
 
The Herons continue their seven-game road trip this weekend, Nov. 22-23, when they head to Northfield, Vermont, to take on No. 14 Norwich. Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and Saturday's contest will start at 3 p.m.
