18 Herons selected to SUNYAC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll

Eighteen members of the William Smith hockey team were named to the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll today.
 
The Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes with a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average as reported by the institution's compliance director.

Howe garnered conference academic recognition for the third straight year after earning NEHC All-Academic praise over the last two years. Cimis, Gallagher, Heiser, Iwicki, Quirk, Urban and Valas also earned all-academic accolades for the second straight year.
 
William Smith finished the year with a 12-15-0 overall record. The Herons were 7-7-0 in their first season in the SUNYAC, finishing fourth in the conference standings. William Smith advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament before falling to eventual conference champion Plattsburgh.
