TROY, N.Y. – The William Smith swimming and diving team traveled to Troy, New York, this afternoon to compete at RPI's Kumpf Invitational in Robinson Pool. The Herons went toe-to-toe with the host Engineers, Ithaca, SUNY Cortland and Skidmore and finished in fifth place with 158.5 team points.

William Smith secured four top 10 finishes this afternoon. Senior Tessa Yohan came in sixth in the 200-yard freestyle, stopping the clock at 2:04.13. First-year Kaleigh Boynton came in seventh in the 200 breaststroke, while sophomore Mackenzie Morus came in eighth in the 200 butterfly with respective times of 2:40.05 and 2:23.83.

Off the 3-meter diving board, first-year Hannah Walsh finished in 10th place with a score of 171.75.

The Herons will be back in action tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 19, when they host the HWS Diving Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. in Bristol Pool.
