Hobart senior midfielder
Quinn Phillips was named the Liberty League Men's Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week by the league office this afternoon.

The 22nd-ranked Statesmen picked up a pair of Liberty League wins last week to improve to 10-0-2 overall this season and 5-0-1 in conference play. After defeating Ithaca 3-2 on Wednesday and Skidmore 2-1 on Saturday, Hobart improved its season-opening unbeaten streak to 12 games. The Statesmen are off to their best start to a season since going 11-0-1 to start the 2008 season.
Â
Phillips recorded five points, factoring into all three goals in the win over the Bombers. He scored on a penalty kick in the 16th minute, and then four minutes later buried a shot from 25 yards out that curled inside the left goal post. Phillips set up
Danny Spataro's game-winning tally in the 68th minute. He has started all 12 games this season, recording nine points on four goals and an assist.
Â
The Statesmen will be back on the pitch Saturday, Oct. 18, when they welcome Vassar to Cozzens Field. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
