Junior Daniel Barrientos of the Hobart swimming and diving team was recognized as the Liberty League Diver of the Week, the conference office announced this afternoon. This is the third straight week and fifth time of the season he has earned the award.
 
With his fifth win of the season, Barrientos moves to nine career selections as the Liberty League Diver of the Week. Barrientos will look to use his experience to lead a young Statesmen squad as it prepares for the Liberty League Championships on Feb. 19-22.
 
This weekend, Barrientos led Hobart against No. 21 RIT as he won from the 3-meter board with a score of 348.80. He secured first place by just under 20 points. Barrientos' win was his 10th of the season for Hobart.
