Erin Murray was named a CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American today. The New England Hockey Conference Goaltender of the Year earned a spot on the East third team.

Murray is the second All-American in program history. She joins Gina Scibetta '20 who earned second team honors following the 2018-19 season.

Murray played the majority of the minutes in goal for William Smith this season. The first team All-NEHC selection was 9-12-2 with a 1.37 GAA and a .948 save percentage. Murray posted a William Smith single-season record seven shutouts. She was 13th in the nation in save percentage and 20th in GAA. Â Murray recorded 30-plus saves eight times this season. She had a career-high 62 saves against Norwich in a 3OT thriller in the NEHC semifinals. Murray's first shutout of the season was in William Smith's NEHC opener against Albertus Magnus. She had three straight shutouts from Jan. 7-17 in wins over Salem State (twice) and New England College.

Murray played in 53 career games, posting a 22-24-3 overall record. She posted a 1.60 GAA, a .944 save percentage and 12 shutouts. Murray rewrote the record books in her four seasons at William Smith. Her 12 shutouts are a program record. Murray also holds the program record for save percentage and GAA. She is second all-time in saves (1,360). Murray's 1.27 GAA from her junior season is a single-season record and her 1.35 GAA from this year is second.

William Smith finished the year with an 11-14-2 overall record. The Herons went 10-7-1 in the NEHC, finishing fifth. William Smith defeated UMass Boston in the quarterfinals before falling to Norwich 3-2 in three overtimes.
