2/9/2026 2:41:00 PM

The William Smith ice hockey team will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 10, when it welcomes Buffalo State to The Cooler for a 2 p.m. faceoff. The game was originally scheduled for Jan. 31, but was moved due to travel restrictions surrounding a winter storm in Buffalo.

The Herons are 9-11-0 this season and 5-4-0 in conference play. William Smith is looking to bounce back from a pair of one-goal losses to Potsdam and Plattsburgh over the weekend.

The Bengals are 11-8-1 with a 3-6-0 mark in the SUNYAC. Buffalo St went 1-1-0 against the Bears and the Cardinals this past weekend.

On Jan. 30 in Buffalo, the Herons scored four unanswered goals as they rallied to beat Buffalo State 4-2. Tara Valas and Bella Hacker had a goal and an assist each in the victory.
