Two members of the Hobart College lacrosse team received Northeast Conference honors this week. Attackman Ryan Archer was named NEC Co-Player of the Week and midfielder Derrek Madonna was named an NEC Prime Performer. It's the second time this season Archer has earned the award.

Archer and Madonna provided clutch performances, combining for 17 points against Long Island University on Saturday, as the Statesmen outlasted the Sharks 22-19.

Archer produced a career-high nine points scoring three times and matching his career-high with six assists. His final assist of the game, and 95th of his career, broke the program's Division I era career assists record. Through 10 games, Archer leads the Statesmen with 52 points (5th on the DI era season list) on 21 goals and 31 assists (3rd).

Madonna scored a team-high six goals and handed out two assists. In the second half, he played a critical role in the Statesmen's game-changing 10-1 run, scoring four times and assisting on a fifth goal. Madonna had a hand in each of Hobart's final three goals of the third quarter, sending the Statesmen into the final 15 minutes with a 17-14 lead. He will enter the final week of the regular season, needing one point to reach 100 for his career.
