TOURNAMENT SCORES
ELMIRA, N.Y.—William Smith senior
Lauren Carlson earned the first outright tournament victory of her career at the Elmira College Women's Golf Spring Invitational on Sunday. She bested the field of 24 at the Mark Twain Golf Course by four strokes in an 18-hole format that was split over two days due to challenging weather conditions.
Originally scheduled for 36 holes, tournament organizers were forced to suspend play on Saturday when high winds and rain took up station over the course. When play resumed on Sunday, Carlson finished her round, logging a 16-over 88. Ithaca's Brooke Llobell was second with a 20-over 92.
Carlson has two previous career victories. Both were dual match wins against Ithaca.
