GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith College swimming and diving team broke the Bristol Pool record in the 800-yard freestyle relay while sweeping a double dual meet against Cazenovia College and Wells Colleges this afternoon. The Herons won 12 of the day's 13 events, defeating the Wildcats 142-58 and the Express 142-66.

Lindsay Fleischer broke the Bristol Pool record in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a winning time of 8:15.39. The trimmed more than one and a half seconds off of the old mark set by Caroline Conboy '17, Katie Storch '18, Nicole Katchis '19 and Kelley Mantz '19 against Cazenovia and Wells during the 2015-16 season.
The Herons also opened the meet with a winning effort as Fleischer teamed up with first-year
Robin Kirchgessner, senior
Therese Mandracchia and first-year
Sarah Walter to prevail in the 200 medley relay, posing a time of 2:01.72.
Mandracchia, Mink, and Mullin each recorded two individual victories. Mandracchia won the 50 free (26.50) and the 1-meter diving competition (211.8), Mink hit the wall first in both the 500 (5:35.45) and 1,000 free (11:34.19), and Mullin won the 100 (58.99) and 200 free (2:04.51).
Leffler captured the 400 individual medley (4:53.64) by more than 15 seconds over Kirchgessner, who two events later, won the 200 butterfly (2:15.47). Senior
Hannah Schley earned first place points on the 3-meter diving board, posting a score of 186.4.
In addition to her two relay wins, Fleischer also took first place in the 200 backstroke winning in a time of 2:19.56.
Cazenovia's Katherine Meehan won the 200 breaststroke (2:53.47).
The Wildcats defeated the Express 97-88. Cazenovia and Wells also brought their men's teams with the Express prevailing 82-21.
William Smith returns to competition on Feb. 2 when the Herons compete in the Skidmore Sprint Invitational.
