A two-sport athlete and a three-time All-American, Mark Perkins had his jersey number (24) for both lacrosse and football retired by the College. Co-captain of the football team and captain of the lacrosse team, he won the Babe Kraus Award as a senior, for being the top student-athlete at the College. In lacrosse, Perkins was a two-time USILA first team All-American midfielder. On the gridiron, he earned AP Little All-America honorable mention in 1968. Perkins was also the ICAC and ECAC Player of the Year as a senior. He set an NCAA single game record with 61 carries against Rensselaer in 1968. He finished that year with 1,111 yards on 309 carries. For his career, Perkins rushed for a then-Hobart record 2,088 yards.
