Hall of Fame
William J. "B.J." O'Hara '75 served the Hobart lacrosse team as head coach from 1990 through 2001. He led the Statesmen to three NCAA Division III national championships (1990, 1991, 1993) and to the school's first two bids to the NCAA Division I Tournament in 1998 and 2000. Prior to that he served as an assistant coach under fellow Hobart Hall of Famer Dave Urick from 1982 through 1985. He was a four-year letter winner in lacrosse and served as team captain as a senior in 1975. He was a member of the school's first national championship team in 1972. O'Hara was a first-team All-American as a junior and senior and played in the North-South Lacrosse All-Star game. He is fourth on the all-time points list with 280; second in goals with 163; and fourth in assists with 117. He was inducted into the Upstate New York Chapter of the Lacrosse Hall of Fame in March 1995.
