Gallagher, a defenseman led the Statesmen hockey team to a 20-8-0 record and the program’s first berth in the NCAA Division III tournament semifinals in the 2005-06 season.
Gallagher is just the second Hobart hockey player to be named to the American Hockey Coaches Association East All-America teams. A two-time All-ECAC West selection and team captain, he tied for the ECAC West lead and was 15th in the nation in points by a defenseman (5-18-23). A four-year starter, he recorded 64 points, including 50 assists, in 102 career games.
At the 41st annual Block H Awards Dinner, Gallagher was named the Francis L. “Babe” Kraus ’24 Memorial Award winner as Hobart’s most outstanding senior athlete. For the second straight season, he also earned a share of The Boswell Award, as team MVP. Gallagher was also named the Rochester Area College Athletics (RACA) Male At-Large Athlete of the Year.
