Forward Madeline Buckley was selected a 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-American, earning a spot on the third team.
 
A starter in all 20 games as a senior, Buckley led the Herons and the Liberty League with 11 goals and 27 points. She sat atop the league rankings in points per game (1.35), goals per game (0.55) and was tied for second in the conference with four game-winning goals. Buckley also chipped in five assists in her senior season. She tallied two or more points in five games. Buckley notched a season-high six points on three goals in a 5-0 win over Vassar. The Brewers had allowed just four goals in their previous nine matches. Buckley scored twice, including the game winner, in a 3-1 victory over Cortland. She notched the game-winning goal and added an assist in a 3-0 Liberty League Tournament semifinal win over RIT. Buckley earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team for her efforts.
 
The 2014 Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Year and unanimous selection to the All-Liberty League first team garnered first-team all-region recognition on Wednesday.  She also collected all-conference honors in 2012 and 2013. Buckley is a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree and a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection.
 
Buckley played in 86 career games at William Smith. She left her name in the Heron record books, ranking 10th on the career points list with 83 and tying for 10th with 33 career goals. She is also tied for 18th on the William Smith list for career assists with 17.
 
Buckley and the Heron Class of 2015 finished their William Smith soccer careers with a 73-7-6 four-year record (.884), logging the highest winning percentage by a graduating class. The Class of 2015 earned four straight Liberty League titles and four trips to the NCAA tournament, including the 2013 national championship title.
