A three-time IWLCA All-American, Bertsch earned third team honors in 1993 and was voted to the second team in 1994 and 1995. She helped the Herons to four straight NCAA tournament championship games. As a senior, she ranked second on the team with 81 points on a team-high 62 goals and 19 assists. Bertsch added 41 ground balls, helping the Herons to a 16-1 overall record. As a junior, Bertsch tallied a team-high 61 goals and added 29 assists for rank second with 90 points and 103 ground balls. William Smith went 16-1. In 1993, Bertsch contributed 27 goals and 22 assists for 49 points. In her career, Bertsch notched 171 goals and 76 assists for 247 points.
