Diehl was named a first team All-American by both the NSCAA and D3soccer.com following her senior season. Additionally, D3soccer.com awarded her its Defensive Player of the Year Award.
Diehl helped the Herons limit their opposition to 1.7 shots on goal and 3.4 shots a game. William Smith registered 16 shutouts this fall, which tied for fourth on the Heron single season list. Diehl and the Herons tallied 14 straight shutouts from mid-September through mid-November, while allowing just 10 goals all year. Diehl also contributed offensively with a career-high 10 points on three goals and four assists.
Diehl was also named the Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year and the ECAC North Defensive Player of the Year. She collected all-conference, all-region and ECAC All-Star first team accolades. Diehl started all 87 matches she played during her career, logging six goals and 12 assists for 24 points. Diehl helped William Smith to 67 shutouts in her four years.
