A defensive tackle, Aruck was named to the 2008 D3football.com All-America third team. He was third on the team and sixth in the conference with 88 tackles, including 10 stops for a loss and 2.5 sacks. Aruck recorded nine or more tackles in six games, notching a season-high 12 during a 16-10 win at St. Lawrence.

Aruck completed his career with 268 tackles (No. 6 on Hobart's all-time list), 26.5 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, and three pass break ups.
