Martinez was named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches All-America first team and a D3soccer.com All-America first team. She was also voted the D3soccer.com Defender of the Year and the Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year. Martinez started all 24 games this season, compiling eight points on two goals and four assists. She played a key part in William Smith's defensive unit that ranked third in the nation in goals against average (0.29) and fifth in shutout percentage (.750). Martinez helped guide William Smith to 18 shutouts.
The 2019 United Soccer Coaches Scholar Player of the Year, Martinez scored the game-winning goal in overtime of William Smith's victory over then No. 10 Hardin-Simmons. She also scored in The Herons' victory over Mary-Hardin Baylor.Â
