A 2017 IWLCAÂ first team All-American, Honan was also voted the Liberty League and the ECAC North Defensive Player of the Year. She was third in the nation with a 4.79 goals against average and sixth with a .571 save percentage while posting a 20-2 record. Her 20 victories the previous William Smith season record by four. Honan was second on the team with 49 ground balls and tied for fifth with 23 caused turnovers. The four-time all-league and two-time all-region selection stopped a season-high 12 shots in wins over Vassar and Rochester. After posting a .733 save percentage and a 4.00 GAA in the Liberty League Tournament, Honan was named the tournament MVP.

Honan's 2017 GAA ranks second on the Heron single season list. In 73 career games, she was 46-25 with 523 saves, a 7.37 GAA and a .512 save percentage. On William Smith's career lists, Honan is third in wins, third in saves, fourth in GAA, 12th in caused turnovers, tied for 12th in ground balls (157) and 14th in save percentage.
