A midfielder, Dahowski earned USILA All-America honorable mention in 1959. He also played in the North-South All-Star game that year. Dahowski led the team in goals in 1959, recording hat tricks against Syracuse and Rensselaer. One year prior, he received the Lt. Vandeverg Trophy as the lacrosse team’s most improved player. Dahowski capped his collegiate athletic career with the 1959 Kraus Award as Hobart’s Athlete of the Year.
A three-year letterwinner and standout in both football and lacrosse, Donald E. Dahowski proved to be equally dangerous whether catching a pass or shooting on goal. A great leader, Dahowski was chosen to captain both the 1958 football team and the 1959 lacrosse team during his senior year.
