Alvord earned IWLCA All-America honors in 1993, 1994 and 1995. She was voted to the ssecond team in 1993 and the third team in 1994 and moved up to the first team in 1995. Alvord finished her senior season with 30 points on 17 goals and 13 assists. She added 41 ground balls. Alvord helped the Herons to a 16-1 record in 1995, advancing to the NCAA tournament championship game. As a junior, she notched 43 points on 34 goals and nine assists and recorded 57 ground balls. The Herons also went 16-1 that year and made it to the NCAA tournament championship game. In 1993, Alvord chipped in 23 goals and seven assists for 30 points.The Herons went 15-2 that year and advanced to the NCAA tournament championship game. Alvord finished her Heron lacrosse career with 109 points on 77 goals and 32 assists.
