Palmer was named to three All-America teams across two sports during his senior year. In football, he was named to the 1993 Sports Information Directors All-American first team and Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-America second team as a defensive back and then was tabbed a USILA Division III All-America second team defenseman in 1994.
On the gridiron, Palmer set a Hobart season record with nine interceptions during the 1993 season. In lacrosse, he helped the Statesmen to an 11-3 overall record, helping Hobart reach the national championship game for the 14th time in 15 seasons.
