A 2011 recipient of the Christine Jurczak '00 Sailing Coach's Award, Pelo earned 2012 ICSA All-American. She won the A division at the Atlantic Coast dinghy Championship, helping HWS finish sixth overall. In 2012, Pelo received the Michelle Torrisi '96 Memorial Award as well as placed second at the Prosser Trophy.
