Berg was named a first team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches in 2022. She was also a second team D3soccer.com All-American. The Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year started aa 21 games she played during the 2022 season. Berg had 10 points on five goals, including three game-winning strikes. She led a defensive unit that was one of the best in the nation. The Herons are fourth in shutout percentage (.727) and 18th in goals against average (0.49). The Herons' defense pitched 16 shutouts, tied for fifth in the country. William Smith limited its opponents to 6.8 shots per game. The Herons had eight straight shutouts from Oct. 14-Nov. 13.
