Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

VanGorden was a three-time CSCAA All-American swimmer for the Herons. At the NCAA championship meet in 2001, she finished seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke to make the All-America team and then placed 12th in the 200 breaststroke, earning honorable mention All-American status. A year later, VanGorden won the consolation final of the 100 breaststroke at the NCAA meet, securing her second honorable mention All-American award.
