Klempen was named an ICSA All-American Crew following the national championship regattas. She competed with Jake Vickers in 15 regattas in 2021-22, including two of the three spring national championship. Klempen helped HWS finish 14th at the Team Race National Championship. They placed 11th in A Division at the Coed Dinghy National Championship. During the regular season, Klempen won the Admiral Moore Team Race and finished second at the John Jackson Memorial Team Race. She added a third place finish at the Georgetown Team Race to kick off the spring season. In the fall she finished first in A Division, helping HWS win the Kings Point Dinghy Open. Klempen were third in A Division at the War Memorial Regatta and fifth at the Atlantic Coast Championship finals.
