An attackman, Miller was a four-time USILA Division III All-American, including three first team accolades. In 1988, he produced 78 points on 32 goals and 46 assists and earned All-America honorable mention. In 1989, Miller scored a career-high 55 goals and dished out 31 assists for a career-high 86 points to merit the first of his first team All-America awards. In 1990, he had 39 goals and 39 assists for 78 points and returned to the All-America first team. In 1991, Miller recorded 76 points on 47 goals and 29 assists and became just the fifth three-time first team All-American in Hobart history. He also was a two-time recipient of the USILA Iroquois Nationals Award (national player of the year) and the Lt. Col. Jack Turnbull Award (national attackman of the year).
