A 2017 USILA All-America honorable mention, Brown was voted the Northeast Conference Player of the Year and Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Year by the league's coaches while earning first team All-NEC honors this season. He produced 32 goals and 18 assists for 50 points in 16 games this year, leading the Statesmen in goals and points. Brown also recorded 24 ground balls.
 
Brown was twice named the NEC Player of the Week in 2017. He picked up his first award in February after notching three goals, a season-high three assists and three ground balls in a 16-15 win over Siena. Brown earned his second award in late April following a season-high eight points in a 15-8 win over Mount St. Mary's. He tied Hobart's Division I era record for goals in a game with six and dished out a pair of assists against the Mountaineers on the Statesmen's Senior Day. Brown scored one game-winning goal on the year, scoring in overtime to beat Saint Joseph's 8-7. He also grabbed a season-high four ground balls against the Hawks.
 
Against Hobart's highest ranked opponent this season, then No. 2 Syracuse, Brown notched three goals, two assists, and three ground balls in a 17-11 loss to the Orange.
 
In 58 career games, Brown produced 81 goals and 39 assists for 120 points. Among Division I Statesmen, he ranks seventh in career goals, eighth in career points, and 12th in career assists. Brown is just the fifth Hobart player since 1995 to record 50 points in a season.
