A defensive end, Gould earned D3football.com All-America honorable mention in 2000. The UCAA Defensive Player of the Year led the Statesmen in tackles with 71. He also registered 15 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two interceptions, including one returned 28 yards for a touchdown.

Gould, who also received the 1998 UCAA Defensive Player of the Year award, graduated with the Hobart career record for tackles for loss (59 for 257 yds).
