Wakeman was named a second team CRCA All-American in 2009. As a member of the varsity eight, she earned a silver medal at the Head of the Fish, as well as three Liberty League Boat of the Week Awards. The crew was nationally ranked throughout the spring, climbing as high as No. 6 before settling in at No. 10.
