Vespa was named to the 2008 WBCA State Farm Division III All-America Team. She was just the third Heron to earn All-America recognition.
The four-time All-Liberty League first team selection and 2008 Liberty League Player of the Year averaged 12.5 points, 6.1 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 steals in 29 games as a senior. Vespa shot .458 from the floor, a Heron season-record .433 from three-point range, and .667 from the free throw line. She also broke the William Smith record for assists in a season, dishing out 177, while her 96 steals are the third highest season total for a Heron.
One of the most electrifying guards in William Smith history, Vespa averaged 11.1 points, 5.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.7 steals for her career, while shooting 41.5 percent from the floor, 38.9 from three-point range, and 68.3 percent from the free throw line. At graduation, she ranked second in career assists (579), second in three-point shooting, third in steals (285), 10th in free throw shooting, and 12th in points (1,157). Vespa was the first Heron to score 1,000 points and record 500 career assists.
