Jackson Gibson anchored the Heron defense for four years. The two-time Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year led the Herons to a 0.26 goals against average as a senior, which ranked fifth on the program's single season list. Jackson Gibson and the Herons allowed just six goals in 2015 and registered 17 shutouts, which ranked third on the William Smith season list. Jackson Gibson backstopped the Heron defense that went 1367:12 without allowing a single goal. The Herons finished their season ranked fifth in the nation in goals against average, fifth in shutout percentage (.773), and eighth in save percentage (.895). Jackson Gibson also contributed offensively, assisting on the game-tying goal in the NCAA tournament quaterfinal against Williams.

The two-time NSCAA all-region honoree and all-conference selection, played in 66 career games at William Smith. Forty-four of those games were shutouts. Jackson Gibson posted two goals and four assists for eight career points.
