Lally was named to the CCM/AHCA All-America East First Team following his junior season.Â
An assistant captain, Lally played in all 31 games, recording 39 points on 14 goals and 25 assists. Lally finished the season 23rd in the nation in assists per game (0.81) and was 26th in points per game (1.26). He earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament Team, finishing the three games with two goals and an assist. Lally had 10 multi-point games. On the defensive end of the rink, he had 14 blocked shots and was a key part of  Hobart's defensive unit that was first in the nation in scoring defense (0.97) and finished the year fourth in penalty-killing percentage (.906). Lally was a finalist for the Sid Watson Award as the National Player of the Year.Â
