Genovese was named to the Brine/IWLCA All-America first-team in 2001. Genovese tallied 45 goals and eight assists for 53 points, sharing the team lead for draw controls, and finishing second on the team in goals, points, and caused turnovers (26). Genovese, who recorded a season-high six points (5-1) against Rensselaer, matched that total in the championship game of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament with six goals to garner MVP honors. She finished her career with 90 goals and 33 assists for 123 points and 90 ground balls.
