Kim was named a 2024 AVCA First Team All-American after a banner season that saw him earn AVCA Regional Player of the Year honors as well as UVC First Team All-Conference recognition. The first Statesman in Hobart volleyball history to be named an All-American led the nation in kills per set (5.68) and points per set (6.43). His .401 hitting percentage ranked fifth in the conference and 13th nationally. Kim led the Statesmen in their inaugural season to an 18-11 overall record, clinching a playoff berth for the first time in program history. The graduate transfer led Hobart to 10-straight weeks in the AVCA national poll and was named the UVC Player of the Week four times as well as the AVCA National Player of the Week once.
