Geise was named to the 1982 Sports Information Directors All-America second team. His senior season saw him catch 53 passes for 1,029 yards and nine touchdowns, all Hobart season records. The first Statesman with 1,000 receiving yards in a season, Geise also was the first Hobart player with 200 yards receiving in a single game, producing 201 against Hamilton on Oct. 23, 1982.
