Hovsepyan was named a CCM/AHCA All-America second team selection following his sophomore year. 

The transfer from Salve Regina made an immediate impact on Hobart's lineup and quickly became the Statesman's top playmaker this season. Hovsepyan finished the year with a team-high 43 points on 11 goals and a Hobart season record 32 assists. He was fourth in the nation in assists per game (1.03) and 13th in points per game (1.39). Hovsepyan had two assists in Hobart's victory over UW-Stout in the national semifinals.
