An attackman, Petosa was a two-time USILA All-American. In 1979, he produced 24 goals, 12 assists and 43 ground balls, and was a second team Division II All-American. In 1980, Petosa completed his collegiate career with 19 goals and 18 assists to earn first team Division III All-American recognition.
